Itinerary

Day 1：Gather in Lanzhou

Arrive in Lanzhou City and transfer to your hotel.

Early arrivals can easily walk from the hotel to the Yellow River Iron Bridge (Zhongshan Bridge) to drink local beer and enjoy the magnificent river night views.

Day 2：Lanzhou City — Hezuo City — Zhuoni County

Drive 4 hours to Hezuo City to visit the majestic, golden-roofed Milarepa Buddha Pavilion.

After lunch, enjoy a scenic 5-hour drive (330km) to the historic Tibetan town of Zhuoni County, admiring the beautiful grasslands and flowing rivers along the Tao River Scenic Belt.

Day 3：Zhuoni County — Zhagana Scenic Area

Visit Chanding Temple (Zhuoni Grand Monastery), a historic Sakya sanctuary built in 1254 featuring 108 crimson pillars and a rare Ming-dynasty Sakya Five Patriarchs Tangka.

Afterward, drive to Zhagana Scenic Area to stroll around the village and enjoy the sunset from the viewing platform.

Day 4：Zhagana Scenic Area — Tewo County

Spend your morning exploring the Zhagana Shilin Grand Canyon to admire its natural stone castle layout, unique peaks, primitive forests, and waterfalls.

Afterward, drive along the Tao River tributary to check into Tewo County (Diebu).

Day 5：Tewo County — Langmusi Town

Enjoy a 4km light trek across the high-altitude grasslands hidden deep within the Dieshan Mountains.

Relish a simple, scenic picnic lunch prepared by Tommy under the mountain breeze before driving to the rustic border town of Langmusi Town to explore freely.

Day 6：Langmusi Town — Gannan Grassland

Join a local horse team in the morning to ride along the scenic source of the Bailong River.

Journey deep into the flower-filled summer pastures of the Gannan Grassland to interact with Tibetan herders and enjoy ample free time to walk and take photos.

Day 7：Langmusi Town — Linxia City — Yongjing County

Early birds can observe a profound Tibetan Sky Burial.

Visit Gerdeng Monastery to worship the unique incorruptible flesh-body Living Buddha.

Then drive north (317km, 4.5 hours) passing the food-rich Linxia City to watch the sunset over Liujiaxia Reservoir before resting in Yongjing County.

Day 8：Yongjing County

Drive to Bingling Temple Upper Temple to view its ancient architecture.

Then complete a 4km trek through a magnificent stone forest.

In the afternoon, tour the 1,500-year-old Bingling Temple Grottoes (built in 420 AD during the Western Qin Dynasty) before a farewell dinner at the night market.

Day 9：Yongjing County — Lanzhou City — Airport

Drive 2 hours (98km) back to Lanzhou for a direct transfer to the Airport or high-speed railway station.
